7 months

our sweet boy is 7 months old! he now has 4 teeth, and is getting a 5th. he will eat pretty much anything you give him (he LOVES bananas) he is able to sit up on his own now..and i'm sure it won't be long until he is crawling everywhere. he is so curious about everything and will put anything he can get his hands on in his mouth. javan has been babbling a ton, and last week he even said ma ma! well..it's more like ma ma ma ma ma ma:) (although i'm sure he does not know what he is saying, it still makes me smile)

Merry Christmas!!

merry christmas everyone!!

javan's first christmas was the best one yet.. we spent the holiday with lots of food and family :) it was definitely a white and snowy christmas. javan loved grabbing at the christmas tree branches, staring at the lights, and tearing open..(well, trying to eat) his gifts... happy birthday jesus!

well i was a little off.. Javan is 18lbs 7 oz and 28 inches long at his 6 month appointment today.. still getting so big! this will be his first thanksgiving!!! we are SO thankful that he is a part of our family.. healthy and happy:) thank you God.

6 Months old!

Javan is yet another month older. half a year already!!! wow. he has gotten so big and is the sweetest boy. he is rolling around like crazy.. almost able to sit up by himself.. loves to hear himself "talk".. and sleeps all the time! he will sleep about 12 hours at night, plus 4 naps during the day! he must be growing. we started giving him a bit of cereal this week. he LOVES it, no surprise :) i will be curious to see how big he is at his 6 month appointment on wednesday.. i'm guessing he is 30 inches long. we will see!!

little wonders

one of our favorite things is to go on walks to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. javan loves looking up at the trees as we pass under them. he seems mesmerized by the colorful leaves blowing in the wind. i will miss this when the trees are bare and it's too cold for a walk..

5 months!

on october 21st javan was officially 5 months old!

he is such a joy each and every day. he is getting more and more personality, laughing and smiling at us all the time. his bottom 2 teeth popped through this week!! he is rolling like crazy, and not wanting to stay in one place for too long. he is sleeping better at night since we started giving him a big bottle before bed. last night he even went 12 hours between feedings, only waking up once to have his diaper changed! that is a record for him.. he loves to hear himself "talk" and will make silly noises and then laugh at himself. it's so cute:)

Pennsylvania

our first family vacation! we flew out to PA to visit jared's brother andrew and his family.. javan did great on the airplane. it was a great time. so wonderful to spend time with family! we miss having them closer. here he is at a pumpkin patch with his cousins ethan and justus.
