busy weekend

this weekend isn't even over yet but we have had so much fun and excitement already! grandma annette stopped by on thursday to say hi and go on a walk. friday we packed up the car and went to madison for the night, meeting our good friends joel, aliza, and their baby jakob. we went out to dinner, played in the hotel pool, and on saturday went to the madison zoo. a few naps were missed but overall everyone had a great time:)

this is the first time javan has ever been in a big pool! he absolutely LOVED it! we had such a fun time!

he wasn't afraid of the water at all! he jumped right in

jared decided to build the boys a playset in the back yard! it was a lot of hard work, but he had a little helper:) it is so nice to be able to go in our backyard and play! here are some pics of the project. i wish i would have taken a "before" picture of our yard. there were 3 huge pine trees in the back corner that jared cut down and cut up. then we had to get the roots dugs out, dig out more roots, pull lots of weeds, till up the dirt, etc.. it took a lot of work but thanks to jared now looks amazing!!

so our own personal "handyman".. i mean jared.. decided that his latest project around the house was to replace the big bay window in the living room. it was old, dirty, and let in tons of cold air in the winter. he had a new one custom made and him and his dad and brother had it replaced in just a few hours last saturday. it looks soo much better!!
